Rafik was a Senior Director and Egypt Country Manager at Abraaj Capital and Société Générale Asset Management, managing Private Equity acquisitions in MENA region with a focus on Industrial buyouts.
Previous to his experience with private equity groups, Rafik was the head of Orion Intercap Capital Group where he managed a team of bankers and led multiple transactions in the resource industries, F&B, manufacturing and technology.
He holds an engineering degree from Cairo University and an MBA from McGill U in Montreal, Canada and is a Chartered Business Valuator, licensed in the US, Canada, the UK and recently in Egypt.
